As we approach the release of the new IB Psychology syllabus, I’m thrilled to share my final article in its current format before diving into this exciting new chapter.
With so many positive changes on the horizon, I’m brimming with enthusiasm to bring you fresh, engaging, and effective resources to make your teaching experience smoother and your students' learning journey more rewarding.

Exciting Collaboration with EdQwest
In addition to my personal resources, I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be creating content for EdQwest, a cutting-edge platform designed to support IB teachers and students.
I’ll be producing videos, question banks, and mark schemes for their Psychology resources. I’ll keep you updated on their availability, but rest assured, these materials will be carefully designed to enhance teaching and learning in meaningful ways.
Transitioning to the New Syllabus
From February 2025, my content will take on a new format. Instead of articles, I’ll be writing a weekly blog to document my journey as I tackle the new syllabus.
This will include reflections on challenges, solutions, and insights gained along the way—essentially a supportive companion for teachers navigating this transition.
When the syllabus drops on 4 February 2025, here’s how I plan to approach it:
- Understand It Fully: Read, digest, and note any uncertainties.
- Seek Training: Get answers to my questions and ensure I’m confident in my understanding.
- Plan My Year: Create a long-term teaching schedule, covering all topics and papers.
- Examine Specimen Materials: Analyse sample papers and mark schemes for patterns to inform future lesson design.
- Begin Building Resources: Start crafting lessons that align perfectly with the syllabus or sourcing credible materials from experts - like me!
Exciting Times Ahead!
The new syllabus is an opportunity to refresh and refine our teaching, and I couldn’t be more excited to embark on this journey with you.
With a commitment to high-quality, student-centred resources and a focus on supporting the teaching community, I’m confident we can all excel in this new chapter.
Let’s embrace the change, share ideas, and support each other as we move forward. Download your free resources below, and let’s make this transition as enjoyable and enriching as possible.
The best is yet to come!
